Hello! I’m Laura, Mum of two & wife to be, with a passion for interiors, music, fashion, design, film, photography, food & travel.
After receiving my BA (Hons) in Fashion, Marketing & Communication in 2004, I started my own online retail business, ‘I Love Retro’, a cutting-edge interiors brand specialising in retro inspired homewares, furniture & gifts.
I loved sourcing new products from around the world, visiting trade shows and discovering new independent artists, designers & brands. Always on the hunt for the latest, original, innovative pieces to showcase, as well as developing our own exclusive ranges.
In 2009 we became partners with Not on the High Street and 2015 saw a move to the Creative Quarter, Nottingham, as well as a nomination for the Nottingham Evening Posts’ ‘Women in Business’ award, celebrating the achievements of female entrepreneurs in the region.
We regularly received press coverage in national newspapers, Sunday supplements, lifestyle, fashion & interior magazines, with our products making The Stylists’ ‘Style List’ and The Times’ ‘Best of’ edits. We supplied an array of customers including boutique hotels, bars, restaurants, artists, bloggers, fashion stylists, interior designers, visual merchandisers, high end fashion brands, TV set designers and celebrities. We were also proud sponsors of the London Short Film Festival, supporting British independent film making.
I Love Retro sold in 2020 and is now under new ownership, allowing me to focus on the things I love most!
